cozcat asked: My cat Franky was hit by a car in late October 2007. We got Sunny around January 2008. Though I missed Franky dearly, I needed a cat. I'd grieved, but I needed someone. I'd suggest waiting until the roommate is ready, and then adopting a cat. Just wait until the time is right.
